Some sites have a "jobs" post type rather than managing their open jobs by either linking out to a third party service or using page builder on the jobs page.
Having a separate jobs post type allows for them to be set to draft when a job closes and published again when it opens again. It also allows for a jobs listing that is filterable.

While fields may vary, most commonly included are fields for:
- a contact email
- a job description
- a closing date
- supporting attachment files
- a link out to the job application
