Expandable Image Grid

Modified on Mon, 27 Oct at 11:54 AM

The expandable image grid is basically accordions with an image in the title area. The content that it can support is a bit more limited, compared to the accordion, because it had to be custom made. The expandable image grid is a powerful way to display information that has imagery and longer content but really doesn't need a bunch of separate pages. For example, it's a great way to streamline executive team headshots and biographies onto one page. Clients also find this block useful for things like: event or amenity packages at conference centers, different types of related social service programs and even details on different types of plants.

Add An Expandable Image Grid

  1. Insert a new block
  2. Click on the white plus sign
  3. Search for "expand.."
  4. Click on the expandable image grid
  5. (Alternately, you can press"/expandable" and then select expandable image grid as it populates)

Format The Grid

  1. Click the pencil icon
  2. Select how many items you'd like per row
  3. Determine how many you would like to display on a singular row
  4. Select from where the information is coming- either manual if these are not people or items in a post type already, or people, if they have already been entered into the people post type.

Enter Your Grid Items

  1. Click "Add Grid Item"
  2. Click "Add Image" and follow instructions to either use an image from the image library, or to upload one from your computer
  3. Add the title
  4. If you have additional information like a bio, click on "Expanded Content", and enter it in that field
