The resources post type allows for resource libraries on the site to include links to external resources, group multiple downloads under one resources listing, as well as to create a detail page for the resource. Please note that unless it is needed, we opt to setup resources libraries to be managed directly from the media library files, rather than the resource post type.
Common fields are:
- Featured image
- Publication date or year
- Publication author
- Resource summary
- Resource type
- Libraries on the site to include the resource
- Downloadable content (on the site)
- External content (off the site)
If you are using, and needing to mange, the resource type categories, and your site has a resource post type, you will find the category management in the resources drop down.
If not, then it's in the media library drop down.
